Writing about Science. From 1990 to 1998, Ms. Culliton was Visiting Professor, and director of the program, Writing about Science, in The Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins. Students in this year-long, intensive writing program, which includes a workshop and a Master's degree thesis, were able to take courses throughout the university, including the School of Medicine and School of Public Health.

Teaching has always been one of Barbara Culliton’s great strengths and passions as a journalist. During her tenure in The Writing Seminars at Hopkins she trained more than 50 talented graduate students who continue to flourish professionally and are now leaders and mentors themselves.
